This Privacy Policy explains how Kmini Technologies ("SharpSharp", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our platform.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, business name (vendors), vehicle details (riders).
  • Order data: items ordered, delivery address, payment reference.
  • KYC data (riders): vehicle plate number and NIN, provided voluntarily during onboarding.

Information collected automatically

  • WhatsApp conversation metadata (message timestamps, phone number hash).
  • Device and browser information when using the vendor portal.
  • Usage data such as pages visited and features used.

2. How we use your information

  • Process and fulfil orders.
  • Verify vendor and rider identities during onboarding.
  • Communicate order updates, receipts, and support responses via WhatsApp.
  • Improve the platform, detect fraud, and resolve disputes.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we protect your data

  • Phone numbers are stored hashed and encrypted; they are never exposed in plaintext.
  • NIN data is encrypted at rest and accessible only to authorised staff for verification.
  • All connections use TLS encryption.
  • Access to personal data is limited to staff who need it to operate the platform.

4. Data sharing

We share personal data only when necessary:

  • With vendors and riders: the minimum needed to fulfil an order (delivery address, customer name).
  • Payment processor: Paystack processes payments on our behalf under their own privacy policy.
  • Law enforcement: when required by law or to protect safety.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Order data is kept for up to 3 years for dispute resolution and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see section 7).

6. Cookies and analytics

The vendor portal uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the portal is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

8. Children

SharpSharp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us for removal.
